Job Description

The Internship :

As part of Elaia’s Deep Tech Seed (DTS) Investment Team, you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Deal Flow Management: Screen and analyze new investment opportunities, and present your findings to the investment team during weekly meetings.

  • Investment Process: Participate in meetings with entrepreneurs and conduct in-depth analyses of potential investments (technology, product, market, business plan, team, etc.) alongside other team members. Contribute to the investment process, including due diligence, and assist with legal and financial negotiations.

  • Internal Projects: Contribute to sector and industry analyses, and help enhance the AI automation of our internal tools and processes.

  • Ecosystem Engagement: Actively participate in ecosystem events such as demo days, pitch competitions, and other networking opportunities.

The internship is based in Paris.

Preferred Experience

  • You have a strong academic background, from a top engineering school or with a solid scientific profile.

  • You’ve already had some initial hands-on experience — in science, academia, or business.

  • You’re genuinely passionate about tech and the startup ecosystem.

  • Deep tech doesn’t scare you

  • You love diving deep into complex topics, analyzing them, and making them crystal clear to others.

  • Sharing your opinions (and defending them) is basically your favorite sport.

  • You’re naturally proactive, driven, and full of energy.

  • And of course, English comes naturally to you.

Recruitment Process

  1. Apply via Welcome to the Jungle

  2. Intro call: a quick 30-minute chat to get to know each other

  3. Show us your insight: present one of our deep tech startups (we will tell you later which one), their main concerns and key strengths

  4. Interview: 30 minute interview with a member of the Deep Tech Seed team

  5. Final round: 30 minute interview with a Partner
